यहाँ तक कि जिस समय हम लोग मेहनत – मजदूरी कर रहे थे, उस समय हमने अपने साथ के लोगों को म्युनिसिपल कमेटी की नालियां तक साफ करके भी अपने परिवार का भरण-पोषण करते हुए देखा परन्तु हमने हमारा चरित्र तबाह नहीं होने दिया |
उस समय कुछ स्वार्थी लोग इंसानियत के भेड़िये बने हुए थे | जिसका बदला उन्हें हमने हमारी कौम से बाहर करके दिया | आजकल मीडिया पर ख़बरें सुनते और पढ़ते है तो देखते है कि आज देश के हालात क्या से क्या हो गये है |
इस इन्सान जो उस समय हमने, अपने सामने देखा जिसका नाम अल्लाह बख्श था जो ख़ुदा का फ़क़ीर था जो मेरे पिताजी का मित्र था उसके घर पहाड़ी रास्ते पर था जो मुसाफिर लोग वहाँ पर आकर रुकते थे और लगभग 40-50 लोग रोज के घर खाना खाते थे और जिस दिन उसके घर कोई खाना नहीं खाता था उस दिन वह खाना नहीं खाता था |
जिस दिन उसके घर कोई नहीं आता था तो उस दिन वह कहता था कि आज ख़ुदा की रहमत नहीं हुई | जिस देश में बेटी को बेटी समझा जाता था |
आज उस देश में दरिन्दे पैदा हो गये है कहने को तो बड़े-बड़े जागरण करेंगे “जय माता की” “जय माता की” करते है लेकिन घर पर जिस माँ ने पैदा किया उसको पानी तक नहीं पूछते :
कुबूल होती न उनकी ईबादत कही,
जिक्रे ख़ुदा तो है, पर खौफे ख़ुदा नहीं,
यहाँ तक कि आजकल रिश्ते भी नाम के रह गये है | जो रिश्तों में जज्बात उस समय होते थे, आज नहीं हो सकते | हमें उस समय 50 बीघे की जगह 5 बीघे जमीन मिली, जो उस समय को कौड़ियों के भाव बेचनी पड़ी थी, जिसमें हमारी बिस्वेदारी भी समाप्त हो गई |
