निगम अधिकारियों ने अपने कार्यालय परिसरों में पौधारोपण किया तथा यह संदेश दिया कि सभी लोग पहली अप्रैल को कम से कम एक पेड़ अवश्य लगाएं तथा उसका पालन पोषण करें।
नगर निगम गुरूग्राम की अतिरिक्त आयुक्त डा. वैशाली शर्मा ने सैक्टर-42 स्थित निगम कार्यालय परिसर में अन्य अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों के साथ पौधारोपण किया, जबकि एडीशनल म्यूनिसिपल कमिशनर रोहताश बिश्नोई ने पहली अप्रैल को प्रात: सैक्टर-34 स्थित निगम कार्यालय पहुंचकर सबसे पहले कार्यालय परिसर में पौधारोपण किया।
उनके साथ अन्य अधिकारियों एवं कर्मचारियों ने भी पौधारोपण करके पर्यावरण संरक्षण का प्रण लिया। नगर निगम गुरूग्राम के आयुक्त मुकेश कुमार आहुजा के दिशा-निर्देश पर पहली अप्रैल को यह पौधारोपण अभियान चलाया गया।
