Viral Sach : Bodhraj Sikri – हरियाणा कैरम संघ तथा गुरुग्राम जिला कैरम संघ 25 से 27 मई 2023 तक के.आर. मंगलम विश्वविद्यालय, सोहना रोड, गुरुग्राम में हरियाणा राज्य व अंत: जिला कैरम प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन कर रहा है।
जिला संघ के अध्यक्ष बोधराज सीकरी ने बताया इस राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता में 16 ज़िलों के लगभग 250 खिलाड़ी हिस्सा ले रहे हैं। बोधराज सीकरी ने आगे बताया कि राज्य प्रतियोगिता के तीन दिनों में 10 आयु वर्गों में अलग-अलग प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित की जाएँगी।
इन प्रतियोगिताओं में 12 वर्ष से कम, 14 वर्ष से कम व 18 वर्ष से कम बालक बालिकाएं भाग ले रहें हैं। इसके साथ ही पुरुष व महिला वर्ग में अंत: जिला टीम व एकल प्रतियोगिताएं भी आयोजित की जा रही हैं।
बोधराज सीकरी ने बताया ये आयोजन हरियाणा कैरम संघ के अध्यक्ष पंकज यादव, आईएएस, संयुक्त सचिव, भारत सरकार के नेतृत्व व मार्गदर्शन में आयोजित की जा रही है।
पंकज यादव ने बताया कि सभी प्रतिभागियों के लिए खेलने की, खाने की व रहने की व्यवस्था विश्वविद्यालय कैंपस में ही की जा रही है। कहा कि राज्य प्रतियोगिता में भाग लेने के लिए सभी जिला संघों ने खिलाड़ी चुनने के लिए अपने-अपने ज़िलों में कैरम प्रतियोगिताएं आयोजित की थी। इसमें जीतने वाले खिलाड़ी राष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं में हरियाणा का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगे।
बोधराज सीकरी ने बताया कैरम में भारत के खिलाड़ी विश्व विजेता हैं और 30 वर्षों से विश्व में अपना दबदबा बना रखा है। कैरम के खिलाड़ियों को विश्व विजेता बनने पर भारत के राष्ट्रपति ने राष्ट्रपति भवन में सम्मानित किया था। कैरम के खिलाड़ी स्पोर्ट्स कोटा में नौकरियां भी पा रहे हैं।

Boys and girls below 12 years, below 14 years and below 18 years are participating in these competitions. Along with this, inter-district team and single competitions are also being organized in men’s and women’s category.
Bodhraj Sikri told that this event is being organized under the leadership and guidance of Pankaj Yadav, President of Haryana Carrom Association, IAS, Joint Secretary, Government of India.
Pankaj Yadav said that arrangements for playing, eating and staying are being made for all the participants in the university campus itself. Said that all the district associations had organized carrom competitions in their respective districts to select players to participate in the state competition. The winning players will represent Haryana in national competitions.
Bodhraj Sikri said that Indian players are world champions in carrom and have dominated the world for 30 years. Carrom players were honored by the President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan on becoming world champions. Carrom players are also getting jobs in sports quota.
