Viral Sach : Bodhraj Sikri – तीन दिन से चल रही हरियाणा राज्य कैरम प्रतियोगिता का समापन हो गया। यह प्रतियोगिता के.आर. मंगलम विश्वविद्यालय के प्रांगण में आयोजित की गई थी।
यह प्रतियोगिता हरियाणा कैरम संघ द्वारा गुरुग्राम जिला कैरम संघ के साथ मिल कर आयोजित की गई। इस प्रतियोगिता में 14 ज़िलों के लगभग 250 प्रतिभागियों ने 10 विभिन्न वर्गों में भाग लिया और अपने कौशल और प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन किया।
सोहना के उप प्रभागीय मजिस्ट्रेट, प्रदीप सिंह आईएएस, समापन समारोह के मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में तथा हरियाणा सी एस आर ट्रस्ट के उपाध्यक्ष व जिला कैरम संघ गुरुग्राम के अध्यक्ष बोध राज सीकरी ने विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में समापन समारोह में भाग लिया।
हरियाणा कैरम संघ के अध्यक्ष श्री पंकज यादव जो भारत सरकार में कृषि विभाग में संयुक्त सचिव पद पर पदासीन है, ने समारोह की अध्यक्षता की।
बोधराज सीकरी ने अपने सम्बोधन में कि खेल की विशेषताओं को उजागर किया. उन्होंने बताया इस खेल में आयु का कोई बंधन नहीं है और यह हर जगह खेला जा सकता है।
यह एकाग्रता बढ़ाता है और क्रिकेट, शूटिंग और तीरंदाजी के बड़े खिलाड़ी अपनी एकाग्रता बढ़ाने के लिए कैरम खेलते हैं। कैरम विद्यार्थियों को उनकी शिक्षा व परीक्षाओं में अच्छे अंक प्राप्त करने में मदद करता है।
इस खेल को युवा वर्ग पेशेवर खेल के रूप में अपना सकता है। इस खेल से खिलाड़ियों को भारत सरकार व सरकारी उपकर्मो में नौकरियां मिल रही हैं तथा बड़े-बड़े कैश अवार्ड भी मिल रहे हैं।
मुख्य अतिथि प्रदीप सिंह आईएएस ने जीवन में खेलों के महत्व को उजागर किया। कैरम के खेल से हम रणनीति व योजना बनाने के कला सीख सकते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कैरम के खिलाडी कई वर्षों से विश्व विजयी हैं और भारत का नाम रोशन कर रहे हैं।
कैरम का खेल एक लोकप्रिय खेल है और युवा वर्ग इस खेल से लगातार जुड़ता जा रहा है जो एक ख़ुशी की बात है। उन्होंने बताया कि वो इस खेल को प्रोत्साहन देने व इसे नयी ऊचाइंयों पर ले जाने के लिए पूरी कोशिश करेंगे।
श्री पंकज यादव आईएएस संयुक्त सचिव भारत सरकार ने अपने अध्यक्षीय भाषण में कहा इस प्रतियोगिता में 14 ज़िलों से खिलाडियों का भाग लेना हरियाणा में इस खेल के प्रति बढ़ते हुए आकर्षण को दर्शाता है।
उन्होंने बताया कि इस खेल को हरियाणा के हर ज़िले में पेशेवर खेल अपनाने के लिए व खिलाड़ियों के प्रोत्साहन के लिए नयी योजनाए व नीतियां जल्द ही लागू की जाएँगी। खिलाड़ियों व अंपायर के प्रशिक्षण के लिए अलग-अलग ज़िलों में कैंप लगाए जायेंगे व अंत: जिला टेस्ट मैच का आयोजन किया जायेगा।
सभी अतिथियों ने जीतने वाले खिलाड़ियों को पुरस्कार वितरित किये। समारोह में हरियाणा कैरम संघ के महासचिव एस.के शर्मा व गुरुग्राम जिला कैरम संघ के महासचिव गौरव शर्मा भी उपस्थित थे। इस प्रतियोगिता के परिणाम इस प्रकार रहे :

बोधराज सीकरी ने कहा कि युवाओं को खेलों में बढ़-चढ़कर भागीदारी निभानी चाहिए। खेल हमारे मानसिक विकास व एकाग्रता बढाने में सहायक होते हैं व वर्तमान में कैरियर बनाने के लिए भी एक अच्छा विकल्प है।

Bodhraj Sikri in his address highlighted the features of the game. He told that there is no age limit in this game and it can be played anywhere.
It increases concentration and great players of cricket, shooting and archery play carrom to increase their concentration. Carrom helps students to get good marks in their studies and examinations.
The youth can adopt this game as a professional game. With this game, players are getting jobs in Government of India and Government Undertakings and are also getting huge cash prizes.
Chief guest Pradeep Singh IAS highlighted the importance of sports in life. We can learn the art of strategy and planning from the game of carrom. He said that carrom players have been world champions for many years and are bringing laurels to India.
The game of Carrom is a popular game and the youth are getting involved in this game continuously which is a matter of happiness. He told that he will try his best to encourage this game and take it to new heights.
Mr. Pankaj Yadav IAS Joint Secretary Government of India in his presidential address said that the participation of players from 14 districts in this competition shows the increasing interest towards this game in Haryana.
He told that new plans and policies will be implemented soon to encourage players to adopt this game as a professional game in every district of Haryana. Camps will be organized in different districts for the training of players and umpires and inter-district test matches will be organized.
All the guests distributed prizes to the winning players. SK Sharma, General Secretary of Haryana Carrom Association and Gaurav Sharma, General Secretary of Gurugram District Carrom Association were also present in the function. The results of this competition were as follows:
