खिलाडिय़ों से परिचय लेने के बाद डा. डीपी गोयल एवं नवीन गोयल ने कहा कि खेलों के क्षेत्रों में प्रदेश और केंद्र सरकार अच्छा कार्य कर रही है। सरकार की अच्छी नीतियों की बदौलत ही हमारे खिलाडिय़ों ने ओलंपिक समेत अनेक राष्ट्रीय, अंतरराष्ट्रीय ख्ेाल स्पर्धाओं में परचम लहराया है।
उन्होंने कहा कि खिलाडिय़ों को वर्तमान सरकार में अच्छी सुविधाएं मिल रही हैं। इसके साथ ही मेडल जीतने पर करोड़ों रुपये नकद पुरस्कार देकर सरकार खिलाडिय़ों का सम्मान कर रही है। यही कारण है कि हरियाणा के खिलाड़ी अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अपनी अच्छी परफोर्मेंस दे रहे हैं।
अब गुरुग्राम में अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट स्टेडियम की जरूरत महसूस की जा रही है। यहां हमारे बच्चों, युवाओं में क्रिकेट का काफी क्रेज है। अच्छे खिलाड़ी देशभर में नाम कमा रहे हैं। गुरुग्राम पूरी दुनिया में प्रचलित शहर है।
अंतरराष्ट्रीय एयरपोर्ट यहां के निकट है। यह मेडिकल टूरिज्म का तो हब बन चुका है, अब इसे खेलों की दृष्टि से भी आगे बढ़ाने की जरूरत है। गुरुग्राम हर मापदंड को पूरा करता है। पहले भी यहां डे-नाइट के क्रिकेट टूर्नामेंट होते रहे हैं।
यहां कम खर्च करके सरकार अंतरराष्ट्रीय मापदंडों के अनुरूप स्टेडियम को अपग्रेड कर सकती है। इससे खिलाडिय़ों को अच्छी खेल सुविधाएं मिलने के साथ प्रदेश का राजस्व भी बढ़ेगा। क्योंकि गुरुग्राम मेडिकल टूरिज्म की तरह खेल टूरिज्म हब भी बनेगा।
श्री गोयल ने सुझाव दिया है कि गुरुग्राम में अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर का क्रिकेट स्टेडियम विकसित करके सरकार यहां पहले से स्थापित क्रिकेट स्टेडियम की उपयोगिता बढ़ा सकती है। स्टेडियम में दर्शकों के बैठने की क्षमता 50 हजार होनी चाहिए। इसके लिए वे जल्द ही मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल, प्रदेश अध्यक्ष ओमप्रकाश धनखड़, केंद्रीय मंत्री राव इंद्रजीत ङ्क्षसह को पत्र भेजेंगे।
