सचिव विकास कुमार ने बताया कि इंडियन रेडक्रॉस सोसाइटी सामाजिक गतिविधियों में भिन्न-भिन्न क्षेत्रों में अपना कार्य करती है। सोसायटी के अध्यक्ष एवं जिला उपायुक्त के मार्गदर्शन में काम किया जाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि रोहित मदान जैसे युवाओ का आजीवन सदस्य बनने से अन्य युवाओं को भी सोसाइटी के प्रति जुडऩे की प्रेरणा मिलेगी, जिससे सामाजिक गतिविधियों को गति मिलेगी।
उन्होंने कहा कि गुरुग्राम के युवाओं में सामाजिक सेवाओं के प्रति रेडक्रॉस के साथ मिलकर काम कर रहे युवाओं से बाकी युवाओं को प्रेरणा लेनी चाहिए। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि महामहिम राज्यपाल का मार्गदर्शन भी समय-समय पर रेडक्रॉस को मिलता रहता है।
जनसेवा के लिए वे प्रदेश में अलग-अलग स्थानों पर रेडक्रॉस सोसायटी को विशेष मार्गदर्शन देते हैं। उनके अनुभव और निर्देशों पर सेवा का क्रम लगातार जारी रहता है। सचिव विकास कुमार ने कहा कि रेडक्रॉस से अधिक से अधिक युवा जुड़ें, यही प्रयास रहता है। उन्होंने कहा कि रेडक्रॉस से कुणाल मंगला, अतुल पराशर, आकांक्षा, श्याम राजपूत, कविता सरकार समेत सामाजिक संस्थाओं का भी पूरा सहयोग मिल रहा है।
