Viral Sach – Gurugram – भारतीय दृष्टिबाधित क्रिकेट संघ (कैबी) ने गुरुग्राम के निवासी शैलेन्द्र यादव को महासचिव नियुक्त किया है। 13वीं वार्षिक आम बैठक के दौरान संघ के नए पदाधिकारियों का चुनाव किया गया, जिसमें बुसे गौड़ा अध्यक्ष और शैलेंद्र यादव महासचिव चुने गए।
32 वर्षीय शैलेंद्र कैबी के अब तक ले सबसे कम उम्र के महासचिव हैं। शैलेन्द्र गुरुग्राम में एसबीआई बैंक में कार्यरत हैं। इस बैठक में 24 राज्यों के 65 प्रतिनिधि शामिल हुए और इन्होंने भारत में दृष्टिबाधित क्रिकेट को बढ़ावा देने पर सार्थक चर्चा की।
इस दौरान राज्य के अधिकारियों ने 2022-23 में अपने-अपने राज्य संघों द्वारा किए गए कार्यों को प्रस्तुत किया। निवर्तमान कैबी अध्यक्ष डा. महंतेश जी किवदसन्नवर ने प्रतिनिधियों के सामने अब तक की उपलब्धियां गिनाई। उन्होंने तीसरे दृष्टिबाधित टी-20 विश्व कप की सफलता का श्रेय मेजबान राज्यों को दिया।
साथ ही समर्थनम ट्रस्ट के कर्मचारियों का दृष्टिबाधित क्रिकेट को बढ़ावा देने में उनके निरंतर समर्थन के लिए आभार व्यक्त किया। बैठक के दौरान 2023-24 कैलेंडर वर्ष में होने वाले टूर्नामेंट पर भी चर्चा की गई।
भारतीय पुरुष और महिला दृष्टिबाधित टीमों के लिए कोचिंग शिविर, बर्मिंघम में अगस्त में होने वाले विश्व गेम्स के लिए भागीदारी और पुरुष और महिला टीमों के राष्ट्रीय टी-20 टूर्नामेंट जैसे महत्वपूर्ण विषयों पर भी चर्चा हुई।
इन प्रतिनिधियों ने 2023-27 के कार्यकाल के लिए नए पदाधिकारियों का चुनाव किया जिसमें महंतेश को सर्वसम्मति से सीएबीआइ का आजीवन चेयरपर्सन घोषित किया गया। वहीं, बैलेट के जरिये किए गए चुनाव में बुसे गौड़ा को अध्यक्ष और शैलेंद्र को महासचिव चुना गया।
इनके अलावा जी. श्रीधर (कोषाध्यक्ष), चिनमय मंडल (प्रथम उपाध्यक्ष), गुरप्रीत सिंह चहल (द्वितीय उपाध्यक्ष), योगिश तनेजा (उत्तर क्षेत्र सचिव), अनिल रेड्डी (दक्षिण क्षेत्र सचिव), इस्लाम अली (पश्चिम क्षेत्र सचिव) और संगीता अग्रवाल (पूर्व क्षेत्र सचिव) चुने गए। ई. जान डेविड, चंद्रशेखर केएन, उदय कुमार और वी. महेंद्रन कार्यकारी सदस्य बने।

During this, the state officials presented the work done by their respective state associations in 2022-23. Outgoing CABI President Dr. Mahantesh Ji Kivadsanwar enumerated the achievements so far in front of the representatives. He credited the success of the third Blind T20 World Cup to the host states.
Also thanked the employees of Samarthanam Trust for their continuous support in promoting blind cricket. The tournament to be held in the calendar year 2023-24 was also discussed during the meeting.
Important topics such as the coaching camp for the Indian men’s and women’s blind teams, participation in the World Games to be held in Birmingham in August and the national T20 tournament for the men’s and women’s teams were also discussed.
These representatives elected new office bearers for the term 2023-27 in which Mahantesh was unanimously declared as the life chairperson of CABI. Whereas, Busse Gowda was elected as the President and Shailendra as the General Secretary in the election held through ballot.
Apart from these, G. Sridhar (Treasurer), Chinmoy Mandal (First Vice President), Gurpreet Singh Chahal (Second Vice President), Yogish Taneja (North Zone Secretary), Anil Reddy (South Zone Secretary), Islam Ali (West Zone Secretary) and Sangeeta Agarwal (East Zone Secretary) ) were selected. E. John David, Chandrasekhar KN, Uday Kumar and V. Mahendran became the executive members.
