उन्होंने कहा कि राव तुलाराम जी महान योद्धा और स्वतंत्रता सेनानी थे। अहीरवाल की धरती पर जन्म लेकर उन्होंने ना केवल अहीरवाल, बल्कि पूरे हरियाणा को गौरवान्वित किया। कम उम्र में ही पिता के निधन के बाद माता ज्ञान कौर से उन्हें देशभक्ति का ज्ञान मिला। वे अंतिम समय तक देश की आजादी के लिए लड़े और अंग्रेजों से लड़ते हुए ही अमर शहीद हो गए। श्री गोयल ने कहा कि आजादी आंदोलन के साथ पाकिस्तान और चीन के साथ हुई जंग में अहीर वीर योद्धाओं का बलिदान सदा याद रखा जाएगा। ऐसे योद्धाओं पर हमें गर्व तो होना ही चाहिए, साथ ही हमें अपनी पीढिय़ों को उनके बलिदान की गाथा भी सुनानी चाहिए।
उन्होंने कहा कि चाहे देश के स्वतंत्रता सेनानी हों या फिर आज देश की सीमाओं पर रक्षा करने वाले सैनिक। सभी के साहस और बलिदान से ही देश की सीमाएं सुरक्षित हैं। देश आजाद है। आज देश हमारा सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से मजबूत स्थिति में खड़ा है। जल, थल और वायु सेनाओं में पूरा आत्मविश्वास है। उनके पास युद्ध सामग्री का बड़ा भंडार है। किसी भी देश के पास अच्छे हथियार, जंगी जहाज और गोला-बारूद उसकी मजबूती को ही दर्शाते हैं। यह सब प्रबंध भी सेवाओं को मजबूती स्थिति में रखते हैं।
