मंगत राम बागड़ी ने कहा कि प. दीनदयाल उपाध्याय महान चिंतक, कुशल राजनीतिज्ञ, विचारक एवं उत्कृष्ट लेखक थे। उनका जीवन समाज के अंतिम पंक्ति के नागरिकों के उत्थान के लिए समर्पित रहा। उनकी इच्छा थी कि आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर नागरिकों का जीवन स्तर बेहतर हो और समाज में समरसता स्थापित हो सके। उन्होंने शक्तिशाली और संतुलित रूप से विकसित राष्ट्र की कल्पना की थी।
इस उद्देश्य की पूर्ति के लिए 21 अक्टूबर 1951 को पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय ने डॉ श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी की अध्यक्षता में भारतीय जनसंघ की स्थापना की। बागड़ी ने कहा कि देश के लोकप्रिय प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के नेतृत्व में केन्द्र सरकार और हरियाणा के लोकप्रिय मुख्यमंत्री मनोहर लाल के नेतृत्व में प्रदेश सरकार पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय के सपनों को साकार कर रही है। मंगत राम बागड़ी ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के मन की बात भी सुनी और कहा कि पीएम मोदी ने अपने मन की बात में पंडित दीनदयाल उपाध्याय द्वारा देश हित में किए गए प्रयासों पर विस्तृत रूप से प्रकाश डालते हुए सशक्त भारत के निर्माण की वचनबद्धता दोहराई।
